Rusty Scruby is a Dallas based artist who was born in 1964.  He has had exhibitions in Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago and Seoul, South Korea to mention a few.  Cranberry Confetti is an example of Scruby’s 2D photo-based reconstructions.  This is part of his Cherry Blossom series where he weaves the tabbing of the piece forward and backward to blend the pixels of colors as if to bring the image back in focus.  Each element in the piece is reduced to a single pixel of color.  This is a great representation of his focus on the idea of an interaction between structure and image.  Similar sized works can be found in galleries for $7500 and up.   A Too spectacular work for any collector.
