We know little about this haunting oil on canvas, but the artist was clearly highly skilled, and the magnificent artisan frame suggests this was a prized work.  It also appears that the piece has some real age to it.  We’re thinking it was done in the 1950s or 60s.  It’s amazing what can be done in a palette of primarily black and gray.  Is this a real place or just a secret interpretation from the artist?  We may never know.  We’ve never seen anything quite like it.  It’s Too mysterious and absolutely peaks imagination.
