Dancing Triangles by Bruno Kark
Dancing Triangles
Bruno Kark
Ceramic Sculpture
Overall – 26”h x 14”w x 5”d
Bruno Kark began training in ceramics at age 12 in both Western and Eastern techniques. In 1984, Kark’s dream of apprenticeship in Japan began to unfold when he was selected to participate in New York’s Parsons School of Design tour of Japan’s pottery producing areas. In 2000, Kark opened his own studio in the San Francisco Bay area. Today, Kark’s works are in public and private collections around the world. This piece was featured in an exhbition at the historic Gump’s San Francisco in 2003. One of Kark’s more major pieces standing over 2 feet tall, this is a dramatic representation of the artist’s fantastic ability to create difficult large scale ceramics. A sand terracotta textured exterior with a dark green glazed interior revealed by “dancing” cut out triangles, this work amazes and delights in its somewhat playful form. Another Too beautiful sculpture/vase in the TooGays gallery, ready to find a new home.
